Project description:

The aim of the development is to introduce an IoT-based digital warehouse system supporting two-step picking for the logistics, e-commerce and manufacturing sectors. The successful implementation of the project will reduce the human time spent in warehouse picking with digital solutions, automate two-step picking and partially or completely replace the revision process with digital tools.

The project will result in the development of an IoT-based 6-box picking cart. The IT-controlled system will enable efficient goods picking, which is connected to the warehouse worker with a Zebra data collection device (e.g. TC22). The picking process checks the products and tools based on barcodes.

Mobile data collectors will be used as digital support for goods picking. The technologies planned to be used are: docker-based software architecture, which is scalable and can be developed quickly, Vuejs and WebSocket technology for real-time data communication.

As a result of the project, performance and cost efficiency are expected to increase. The efficiency increase can be achieved by removing human intervention from warehouse picking, reducing pedestrian picking time and walking distance. In terms of cost efficiency, we expect a 70-80% reduction in the revision process, and a reduction in returns and complaints through automated control.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the Széchenyi Plan Plusz program.

The project is being implemented with the support of the European Union and co-financing from the Hungarian state.
